The Ranade Lab is a research lab part of the Sanford Burnham Prebys (SBP) Medical Discovery Institute and is located in La Jolla, California. It seeks to understand the cellular and molecular principles of heart development and congenital heart defects.
Create a professional and clean website for Dr. Sanjeev Ranade’s lab to showcase his research and team. The website should be simple and modest, yet elegant, with perfectly balanced spacing and subtle micro-animations that reflect the attention to detail and quality of work Dr. Ranade brings to his lab.
One of the added details on the site is a subtle hover effect where the bar below the page title transforms into a DNA double helix.
The logo combines the three aspects of the Ranade Lab: heart, DNA, and the letter R.
The colors were inspired by a photo of the Torrey Pines cliffs at sunrise.
Jonathon did an amazing job on my scientific research lab website. He took some of the content I had provided him and seamlessly incorporated it into a site that fit the aesthetic and style I wanted. The entire site was nearly complete at the point of the first draft and we were able to very quickly finish the project after only a few revisions. As well, his design of my lab logo was also extremely creative. I would absolutely recommend Jonathon for a web design project and would be eager to work with him again!
